Iguazú, the complement to the Falls

The city of Puerto Iguazú and its attractions are the unavoidable complement to your visit to the Iguazú Falls, one of the Wonders of Nature.

La Aripuca is a nature-themed park named after the trap that Guaranís used for hunting, in this case built with giant trees. Only 10 minutes away, Guirá Oga (the Bird House) is a shelter in the middle of the jungle surrounded by large trees where a great team of professionals take care of rescued or injured native animals.

The Ice Bar is, as you may have guessed, a bar of ice... but there’s a twist: it’s in the jungle! The Biocentre is an ecomuseum about the Atlantic jungle and features bromeliads and orchids, butterflies, snakes, and a taste of the local rainforest.

You can also visit a Guaraní village to understand their worldview and, at sunset, experience the cultural symbiosis offered by La Ferinha, a fair comprising several small stands where you can dine and buy the region’s most exquisite products.

If you like sailing, you will be able to enjoy a catamaran ride from the port and see a unique sunset shared by three countries, after which you can have dinner at any of the several excellent restaurants in Puerto Iguazú. * Geodes: a few minutes away from Iguazú, you can visit the semiprecious stone mines in Wanda.
